Maarn, or alternate Sylvia as we prefer here on the farm, is a joyful reminder of my late mother who shared the same remarkable resilience and beautiful name. This lovely orange petaled lady lives up to her well-earned reputation of being a dependable “no fuss” producer in the field and is long-lasting in floral arrangements. Her fruity orange blooms remind me of the juicy balls of cantaloupe we scoop into summer fruit salads!

Grower’s Notes:
✔️ Small on stature but big on bloom production!
✔️ This gal is happiest when placed in front of taller varieties so as not to be overshadowed.
✔️ Not officially a ball form as is commonly advertised. The ADS classifies this variety as a 3003 | BB FD
✔️ Extremely productive, produces oodles of blooms all season. Rarely requires disbudding or anything special other than the usual wink and kiss for her unwavering beauty.
✔️ Very tolerant of higher temperatures and humidity- she’s one of the last to show any signs of stress in the heat and blistering sun!
✔️ SUPERB tuber producer—this gal loves to leave lots of parting gifts at the end of the season! As with all varieties, tuber production increases with regular deadheading and disbudding.
